Oxygen founder Dr Christine Murphy
had a dream that one day she might bring together from around the globe some of the amazing and talented people that she has worked with as a lecturer and facilitator of leadership practice for almost 20 years.
As her legacy she wanted to create an affordable opportunity that was dedicated to the ongoing work of building leadership muscle and to connect her leadership networks together to create powerful new alliances with each other.
Chris is known as an expert in corporate leadership, she holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Masters of Business from the RMIT University, Melbourne Australia. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and in 2018 was accepted to study at Harvard’s Kennedy School and gained a certificate in Adaptive Leadership. Chris also holds an advanced certificate as an executive coach and worked with senior leaders in London, Singapore, New York, Vietnam and Australia.
As a former CEO, she went on to become an award-winning post-graduate university lecturer, a business consultant and facilitator. Chris advises both individuals across disciplines including businesses in the
state and federal public sector, education industry, major multinationals and ASX listed companies.
Chris’ passion to share her knowledge, support and networks with those who aspire to be their best selves aligns perfectly with her stated purpose which is ‘to help others find theirs’ and those who know her would attest.
delegates arrived from the USA, Vietnam, Australia, the atmosphere for this first symposium was electric and the design was focused on how the Oxygen group might use their combined talent and experience to impact their community as leaders with a purpose. Using design thinking approach as the vehicle to seek to understand how to become more innovative around intractable and complex problems. Adaptive leadership was the overall theme of the symposium and learning how to recognise when to recognise and employ the tools and shift from equilibrium to disequilibrium.
Oxygen Global Leadership Network staged its next Symposium in Vietnam in November, 2019, capturing the momentum from the first Symposium in Ubud, Bali. Delegates joined us from around Vietnam and Australia. This second symposium built upon the first, focusing on a leader's 'purpose' and legacy. The work centred around courage and bravery - in order to be the best kind of leader, authentic and vulnerable leadership is challenging and the work therefore focused on doing the deep experiential work required to understand how it feels in practice and the inner resources leaders must draw upon to remain self aware. it was a great success and the country for the next Oxygen symposium was chosen to be Australia in 2020! These plans were delayed due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

A rare opportunity for leaders to slow down and allow themselves to think deeply, speak plainly and grow accordingly”
“Delving deeply into what we can each bring, emotionally and creatively, to our own leadership styles, Oxygen was intensely thought provoking, personally challenging and yet refreshing. I felte regenerated and inspired at the conclusion of the symposium”.

“The symposium provided me with space to reflect on my own leadership. While some of the workshops pushed me out of my comfort zone, I left the symposium a better leader. I was able to reconnect with my purpose and reignite my passion- to feel that what I do is right for me and good for the world at the same time”. Shawn Walker

“Oxygen Global Executive Network, where authentic leaders can find way to redefine and create more true values for their personal values as well as their organization values. The values and success of a person or an organization are not measured by how much money they can earn but it will be evaluate by what values they bring to their community”. Eric Tuan Pham
